kunstige fotos & fotos van my kuns {child and family photographer from Pretoria}Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There’s a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can’t I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can’t I?

MY DOVES
by: Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888)
PPOSITE my chamber window, - On the sunny roof, at play,
- High above the city’s tumult,
- Flocks of doves sit day by day.
- Shining necks and snowy bosoms,
- Little rosy, tripping feet,
- Twinkling eyes and fluttering wings,
- Cooing voices, low and sweet,—
- Graceful games and friendly meetings,
- Do I daily watch and see.
- For these happy little neighbors
- Always seem at peace to be.
- On my window-ledge, to lure them,
- Crumbs of bread I often strew,
- And, behind the curtain hiding,
- Watch them flutter to and fro.
